Roger A. Kellogg San Pedro, Belize----
Roger A. Kellogg 62, of San Pedro, Belize, formally of North Brook, IL, and a native of Galena, IL went to be with the Lord Friday Jan. 12, 2024. Roger was born August 9, 1962 in Iowa City, Iowa. He was son of Henry and Rita Kellogg of Galena. He grew up on a farm in rural Galena and then later moved into Galena. As a teen he inherited a good work ethic and started his first job delivering two newspapers at the same time. He graduated high school in 1979. He then took employement at Chestnut Ski Resort as a cook and then advanced into a live in chef's position for 15 years. He then went to work for Com-Ed as a meter reader. That position advanced him into a lineman and foreman. Roger met his first wife Katherine Erchin in Galena. They were married in 1991 and had a son Cody. His job then transfered him in the Chicago area where he met his second wife Evelyn Krause. They were married November 24, 2004 and just celebrated their 19 year of marriage. Together they work diligently to achieve their dream of buying property and retireing in the tropic island of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye Belize. That dream was fulfilled in 2018. He and his wife both had the passion for cooking and they enjoyed having friends over for cheering on their Bears and Cubs games. Roger was an avid fisherman and enjoiyed a good game of cribbage, telling a good joke, and looked forward to trivia nights. Surviving are his wife Evelyn, his 3 step sons Maxwell (Ashley) Krause Charleston, SC, Phillip Krause Chicago, IL, Luke (Andrea ) Krause New York, a brother Leroy (Dawn) Kellogg Hanover, IL, a half brother Charles Kellogg Bryan, TX, sisters Debbie Thomas Hermiston, OR, Sharon McInnis East Dubuque, IL, and Donna (Scott) Bellous Rapid City, SD. and many nieces and nefews. He was proceeded in death by his son Cody, mother in-law Marlene Szulski, his 1st wife Kathy, a half sister Geraldine Breitbach, his parents Henry (Rita Platt) Kellogg creamation rites have been acorded by Coye"s funeral home Belize City, Belize. A celebration of life will be held at a later date
